A three-book survival guide, a sort of love letter or hate letter to the design program. For our final project in Graphic Communications, we were tasked with creating a survival guide that would serve the underclassmen as a guide to the program at Southern Miss. I made mine very informal, going over the important projects of each course and what to take away from them. We were given full creative freedom, so I decided to create it with a punk style that can be found in both the graphics and the language.

Punk art is a style I thoroughly enjoy; it finds its way into a lot of my artwork, whether it’s halftones or super-edited graphics and objects. One important element I wanted to include was wristbands I’ve collected over the local shows I’ve attended, whether they were for punk shows or outings where the alternative crowd normally attends.
