Magazine cover and spread for a topic of our choosing that we care about. I decided to illustrate an article on teen substance abuse and its link to mental health issues. It is deeply personal to me and something I care about tremendously. We had to create the entire illustration without using the computer, except for type layout and headers.
One thing I enjoy about these illustrations is the burnt images, visually showing how drugs can destroy you and your mind. I also enjoy the cigarette-stained yellow quality of the background, making it feel aged and used.
