southern prohibition

Cross-collateral campaign for a local brewery and bar called Southern Prohibition. Our prompt was to pick a type of product to advertise and a company that sells that product. I chose alcohol and decided it would be fun to do an advertising campaign for a brand I support and indulge in. I wanted the demographic to be 21 to 30-year-old alternative adults who enjoy drinking unique brews of alcohol. Since I also fall under that demographic, I used photography of myself and my partner, as well as my roommates. I wanted the graphics to be enticing to this audience, so I went with large halftones similar to old punk show posters you would see taped to something. I used a lot of Sex Pistols posters as points of departure.

This is one of my most expansive projects, and I found it refreshing to solely do advertising rather than brand creation and advertising for a new idea. I find it much more fun to create things for an already established IP.
